Soccer Game Preview: Chantilly vs. James Madison

Chantilly is 0-9-1 against James Madison since April of 2018 but things could change on Thursday. The Chargers will host the Warhawks at 7:15 p.m. Chantilly's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Chantilly took a five-goal defeat the last time they faced off against West Springfield, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Chargers never let the Spartans get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory last Thursday.

Meanwhile, James Madison came up short against Alexandria City last Thursday and fell 3-1. While losing is never fun, James Madison can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 125th, while Alexandria City are ranked seventh).

Chantilly's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for James Madison, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-3-2.
