Baseball Recap: South Delta Takes a Loss

South Delta lost against Simmons on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. South Delta might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 19-4 to Simmons, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

South Delta's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Simmons, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Delta will challenge Leland at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Simmons, they will face off against Leflore County at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Leflore County has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.75 runs per game on average), something Simmons will no doubt try to take advantage of.
