 It was a good run, but  Atmore Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their  four-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Aletheia Christian Academy Lions by a score of  10-8. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest  runs Atmore Christian has scored all season.
  Lizzy Landis and  Elizabeth Terry did some serious damage despite the final result:  Landis  scored a  run while going 3-for-4, while  Terry  scored a  run while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Ava Smoker, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-3.
 Even though they lost, Atmore Christian was hitting in the alleys and  finished the game with eight  doubles. That's the most  doubles they've managed all season.
 Having lost for the first time this season, Atmore Christian  fell to 4-1. As for Aletheia Christian Academy, their  win (their first of the  season) made their record 1-4.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Atmore Christian will take on Central Christian at 5:30  p.m.  on Friday. Atmore Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 18.2  runs per game this season. As for Aletheia Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home field  on Monday against Booker T. Washington at 6:00  p.m. Booker T.
