Volleyball Game Preview: Hilmar Yellowjackets vs. Sonora Wildcats + How To Watch

The Hilmar Yellowjackets are taking a road trip to take on the Sonora Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hilmar is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Hilmar didn't have quite enough to beat Escalon and fell 3-2.

The 3-2 doesn't really show just how close this match was: all the sets Hilmar lost were decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 25-22, 13-25, 15-25, 25-23, 15-12.

Meanwhile, Sonora made easy work of Orestimba on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 victory. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Sonora was: they took every set by at least 14 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-10, 25-11.

Hilmar's loss dropped their record down to 16-11. As for Sonora, their victory bumped their record up to 15-2.

Hilmar might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Sonora when the teams last played back in September. Can the Yellowjackets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
