Basketball Recap: Brentwood Academy Comes Up Short

Brentwood Academy lost against Pope John Paul II back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Brentwood Academy Eagles took a 67-53 bruising from the Pope John Paul II Knights. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 49th, while the Knights are ranked second).

Brentwood Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Pope John Paul II, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-2 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Pope John Paul II beat Brentwood Academy by a score of 67-53 on Tuesday.
