Basketball Recap: Mount Calvary Christian Skates Past Millersburg with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mount Calvary Christian). They claimed a resounding 58-30 win over the Millersburg Indians. For the Chargers, this counts as revenge for the 76-72 victory the Indians walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2024.

Mount Calvary Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Josiah Masters led the charge by putting up 22 points. The matchup was Masters' fifth in a row with at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was JJ Cuneo, who posted 19 points.

The win made it two in a row for Mount Calvary Christian and bumps their season record up to 2-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.5 points over those games. As for Millersburg, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Mount Calvary Christian will take on Covenant Christian Academy in a holiday battle at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Millersburg and Line Mountain will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
