Softball Recap: The Woodlands Christian Academy Comes Up Short

The Woodlands Christian Academy entered their match against Concordia Lutheran on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Warriors came up short against the Crusaders, falling 14-4. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Crusaders this season, with their most recent loss being a 10-9 defeat back in February.

The Woodlands Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 15-5-1. As for Concordia Lutheran, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-4-1.

Coming up, The Woodlands Christian Academy will head out to face off against Cypress Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Cypress Christian has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.67 runs per game on average), something The Woodlands Christian Academy will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Concordia Lutheran, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Agnes Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Crusaders' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
