The Osawatomie Trojans entered their tilt with the Pleasanton Blu-Jays with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Osawatomie came out on top against Pleasanton by a score of 60-47 on Friday. Given Osawatomie's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 28th, while Pleasanton is ranked 134th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Among those leading the charge was Tucker Fennel, who scored 24 points along with 9 rebounds and 5 steals. The contest was his third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jasper Sallee, who scored 15 points.

Davis scored a full 34% of Pleasanton's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Tony Gillespie, who scored 17 points.

Osawatomie's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Pleasanton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Osawatomie will face off against Wellsville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wellsville knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Osawatomie likes a good challenge. Pleasanton and St. Paul will face off at 5:00 p.m. on December 15th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
