Basketball Game Preview: Sequoyah Chiefs vs. River Ridge Knights

The Sequoyah Chiefs will challenge the River Ridge Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sequoyah knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 matchups -- so hopefully River Ridge likes a good challenge.

Sequoyah is returning to their home court after beating Riverwood on theirs, despite the fact Riverwood has dominated at home this season. Sequoyah came out on top in a nail-biter against Riverwood on Friday, sneaking past 62-60.

Meanwhile, River Ridge hadn't done well against Sprayberry recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. River Ridge pulled ahead with a 61-60 photo finish over Sprayberry.

Sequoyah is also on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.3 points per game. As for River Ridge, they pushed their record up to 9-11 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Everything came up roses for Sequoyah against River Ridge in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 90-55 win. Will Sequoyah repeat their success, or does River Ridge have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
