Basketball Game Preview: Glenwood City Hilltoppers vs. Colfax Vikings

Glenwood City is 0-10 against Colfax since January of 2020 but things could change on Thursday. The Hilltoppers will be playing at home against the Vikings at 7:15 p.m.

On Saturday, Glenwood City was beaten by Stanley-Boyd 65-27.

The losing side was boosted by Tori Ohman, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Kirah Krueger, who posted four points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Colfax posted their closest victory since February 10th on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Regis 68-65. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.

Glenwood City better keep an eye on Jordyn Bowe. She was instrumental in Colfax's win, shooting 80% from the field on her way to 26 points. Another player making a difference was Clara Hydukovich, who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine rebounds.

Glenwood City's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Colfax, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Glenwood City has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 36.8 boards per game. However, it's not like Colfax struggles in that department as they've been averaging 30.3 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
