The Alpha Omega Academy Lions will face off against the Covenant Classical Cavaliers at 7:08 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Alpha Omega Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
Alpha Omega Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They claimed a resounding 76-30 victory over Faith Academy. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won nine matchups by 22 points or more so far this season.

Alpha Omega Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Isaac Thompson out in front who rushed for 186 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only ten carries, and also picked up 34 receiving yards. Those 186 rushing yards gave Thompson a new career-high. Alpha Omega Academy also got help from Hudson Ramey, who showed off his sure hands for 90 receiving yards.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Alpha Omega Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 261 rushing yards. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 87 rushing yards per game earlier this season, but in their last five contests they've averaged 155.
Alpha Omega Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Austin Mccaffety and Ramey. Mccaffety is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in each of the last three games he's played.
Meanwhile, Covenant Classical waltzed into their game on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Lions, posting a 73-44 victory. The Cavaliers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by 26 points or more this season.
Alpha Omega Academy better keep an eye on Hudson Williams. He was instrumental in Covenant Classical's win, picking up 169 receiving yards and five scores. Williams also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing one fumble and making seven total tackles.
Alpha Omega Academy's record now sits at 10-1. As for Covenant Classical, their record is now 7-3.
Alpha Omega Academy was taken down by Covenant Classical 80-32 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
