Softball Recap: Bellflower Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Bellflower can now relate to. They came up short against the Yucca Valley Trojans on Thursday, falling 11-5. The Buccaneers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jazelle Miller was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

Bellflower's defeat dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Yucca Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-9-1 record this season.

Bellflower does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Yucca Valley, they will face off against Lakeside at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. The Lancers will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Trojans surely won't give up without a fight.
