Softball Recap: Caledonia-Mumford Takes a Loss

Caledonia-Mumford blew Geneseo out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Wednesday Geneseo got their revenge. The Raiders fell just short of the Blue Devils by a score of 4-2. The Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Blue Devils apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Caledonia-Mumford saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colleen Talty, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Caledonia-Mumford's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Geneseo, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Caledonia-Mumford will welcome Byron-Bergen at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Raiders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bees have averaged an impressive 13.1 runs per game this season. As for Geneseo, they will be playing at home against Wayland-Cohocton at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
