While Bishop McNamara put up some runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Pontiac. The Fightin' Irish were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the Indians. The Fightin' Irish might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 contests by six runs or more this season.

Taylor Fuerst was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (two). He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Coen Demack, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Jacob Lotz, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

The win made it two in a row for Bishop McNamara and bumps their season record up to 24-7. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Pontiac, their loss was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-15.

Bishop McNamara and Pontiac are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Fightin' Irish will take on Clifton Central at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pontiac, they will face off against Galesburg at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
