Softball Recap: Walnut Comes Up Short

The Walnut Mustangs lost 13-1 to the Corona Panthers on Monday. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Walnut saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cynthia Phong, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one double.

Walnut's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Corona, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Walnut didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 16-2 defeat against Ayala on the 18th. As for Corona, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 10-1 loss against King on the 20th.
