Volleyball Recap: La Vega Pirates vs. China Spring Cougars
La Vega was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the China Spring Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-3, 25-15.
La Vega's defeat dropped their record down to 18-11. As for China Spring, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-15 record this season.
We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. La Vega will square off against rival Connally at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, China Spring is set to face off against their familiar foe Lorena at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
