Baseball Game Preview: Provo Bulldogs vs. Mountain View Bruins

For the second straight game, Provo will face off against Mountain View. The Bulldogs are taking a road trip to take on the Bruins at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Provo is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games.

Provo's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over Mountain View. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won seven contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Jackson Sharpe looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Malachi Aulava was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Milo Rhineer was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Provo was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .355 or higher in five consecutive games.

Provo pushed their record up to 11-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Mountain View, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-9.
