Basketball Game Preview: Northbrook Raiders vs. Cy-Fair Bobcats

Northbrook hasn't had much luck against Cy-Fair recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Northbrook Raiders will take on the Cy-Fair Bobcats at 12:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Northbrook is headed into Saturday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Wednesday. They were beaten by Cypress Creek 75-33. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1100th, while the Cougars are ranked 206th).

Meanwhile, Cy-Fair was just a bucket shy of victory on Wednesday and fell 40-39 to Cypress Falls. The defeat continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost three in a row.

Northbrook's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Cy-Fair, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 10-13.

Northbrook was dealt a bruising 75-15 loss at the hands of Cy-Fair in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Can Northbrook avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
