Recap: South Central Satellites vs. Hebron Hawks

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the South Central Satellites can now relate to. They fell to the Hawks 71-65. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (56), South Central still had to take the loss.

South Central lost on Friday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Clayten Strauch, who scored 13 points along with six assists and six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Strauch has scored all season. Derek Welsh was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with two steals.

It was another big night for Landen Hale, who scored 36 points along with eight rebounds and two steals for Hebron. Hale has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last eight times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Kenda, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds.

This is the second loss in a row for South Central and nudges their season record down to 10-12. As for Hebron, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 23-2.

South Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hebron, they and North Judson-San Pierre will face off at 6:00 p.m. on March 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hebron is coming into the contest with six straight victories on the road, so North Judson-San Pierre will have to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
