Softball Recap: Bellingham Picks Up Fourth Straight Win on the Road

Bellingham hadn't done well against Norwood recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Blackhawks had just enough and edged out the Mustangs 4-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Blackhawks.

Trista Corshia spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on six hits.

At the plate, Megan Skarin was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaleigh Simpson, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Bellingham's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-5. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Norwood, they suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 4-3.

Bellingham wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 4-0 loss against Westwood on the 30th. As for Norwood, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 10-3 defeat against Norton on the 30th.
