Volleyball Recap: Ainsley Anderson Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat La Junta + How To Watch

The Vanguard School won the last time they faced La Junta and things went their way on Thursday too. The Coursers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Tigers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Coursers.

While The Vanguard School might've won, it sure wasn't easy: La Junta scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-23, 25-22.

The Vanguard School's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ainsley Anderson led the charge by getting five digs and five aces. Anderson is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last 18 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Keilani Kaneakua, who had 11 digs.

They weren't the only good servers: The Vanguard School was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces every time they've taken the court this season.

The Vanguard School's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for La Junta, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.
