Football Recap: Sullivan Skates Past North Posey with Ease

Sullivan had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 53-7 win over the North Posey Vikings. The result was nothing new for the Golden Arrows, who have now won seven matchups by 35 points or more so far this season.

Clark French continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 253 yards and four TDs while picking up 10.5 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 149 rushing yards. Another player making a difference was Zane Catlin, who gained 152 total yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Sullivan was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 333 rushing yards. They are a perfect 6-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Sullivan didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Catlin led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself. Sullivan got some further help from Peyton Carlson: he made ten total tackles (2.0 for loss).

The victory was the sixth in a row for Sullivan, bringing their record up to 8-3. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 11.5 points on average over those games. As for North Posey, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-4 record this season.

Sullivan has already played their next game, a 58-27 loss against Linton-Stockton on the 7th. North Posey does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
