Softball Recap: Piketon Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Piketon couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wheelersburg Pirates on Wednesday. If the Redstreaks were looking for revenge after losing 5-0 to the Pirates when the teams met back in May of 2017, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Piketon saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Ricer, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Piketon's defeat dropped their record down to 23-5. As for Wheelersburg, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 25-0.

As of now, neither Piketon nor the Pirates have any future games scheduled.
