Softball Recap: Boerne Comes Up Short

Boerne fell victim to Veterans Memorial and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Veterans Memorial Patriots, falling 8-0. It was the first time this season that the Greyhounds let down their fans at home.

This is the second loss in a row for Boerne and nudges their season record down to 5-2. As for Veterans Memorial, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Boerne and Veterans Memorial's offenses will be put to the test in their next games. Boerne will take on Smithson Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, a team that's only allowed two runs per game. Boerne will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Meanwhile, Veterans Memorial and New Braunfels (who has only given up 3.33 runs per game) will meet at 7:00 p.m. on March 4th.
