Volleyball Recap: Phoenix Academy Comes Up Short

Phoenix Academy lost against Cornerstone Charter two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Firebirds came up short against the Cardinals, falling 3-0.

Cornerstone Charter had a senior duo take command as Ashley Belland had 11 aces and four digs and Aubrey Kimball had eight assists and four aces. Belland is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last ten games she's played.

Phoenix Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Cornerstone Charter, the victory was the 16th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 22-4.

Phoenix Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cornerstone Charter, they will face off against Leadership Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
