Volleyball Game Preview: Randolph Cardinals vs. Winnebago Indians

Randolph is a perfect 3-0 against Winnebago since September of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Cardinals will take on the Indians at 5:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

It was a proper cat-fight when Randolph challenged Osmond on Saturday. The Cardinals took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers.

Randolph's defeat came about despite a quality game from Alexis Backhaus, who had 15 digs. Backhaus has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last four times she's played.

Meanwhile, Winnebago was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to Creighton.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-20.

Randolph's defeat dropped their record down to 4-23. As for Winnebago, their loss dropped their record down to 5-19.

Randolph beat Winnebago 3-1 when the teams last played back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cardinals since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
