Volleyball Recap: Wheaton Academy Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Wheaton Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Aurora Christian Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Wheaton Academy sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 21-25, 25-12.

Wheaton Academy's record now sits at 15-12. As for Aurora Christian, they pushed their record up to 22-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Wheaton Academy will head out to face off against West Chicago at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Aurora Christian, they will venture away from home to take on Aurora Central Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
