Basketball Game Preview: California Grizzlies vs. Granada Matadors

California is 2-8 against Granada since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The California Grizzlies will host the Granada Matadors at 7:30 p.m. California will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

California will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Monte Vista, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. California skirted past Monte Vista 47-45. Given the Grizzlies' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while the Mustangs are ranked 151st), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.

DANE WALLACE continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 16 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of California's points. Another player making a difference was Ketan Kumar, who posted eight points.

Meanwhile, Granada was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Saint Mary's, falling 80-55.

California is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-2 record this season. As for Granada, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-13.
