Baseball Game Preview: Hendersonville Bearcats vs. R-S Central Hilltoppers

For the second straight game, Hendersonville will face off against R-S Central. The Bearcats will host the Hilltoppers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Hendersonville's offense. They came up short against R-S Central on Tuesday, falling 10-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Bearcats in their meetings with the Hilltoppers: they've now lost seven in a row.

Hendersonville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Martiste Mills, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Mills is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

R-S Central has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Hendersonville, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.
