Soccer Recap: Hillcrest Takes a Loss

Hillcrest was the 2-0 winner over Tuscaloosa County when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Hillcrest Patriots fell just short of the Tuscaloosa County Wildcats by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The Patriots' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Hillcrest's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Tuscaloosa County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hillcrest will welcome Tuscaloosa Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tuscaloosa County, they will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Thompson at 5:00 p.m. Tuscaloosa County's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
