East Hardy won the last time they faced Southern and things went their way on Monday too. The Cougars put the hurt on the Rams with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Cougars, who have now won three matchups in a row.

East Hardy was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-17, 25-17.

Morganne Miller paced East Hardy's offense, picking up 20 kills. Miller got some help from Xavia Barber and her 19 assists. Miller was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

East Hardy's record is now 17-8. As for Southern, they moved to 8-10-1 with that defeat, which also ended their four-match winning streak.

East Hardy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Petersburg on the 21st. As for Southern, they will challenge Mountain Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
