Soccer Recap: Mitchell Takes Down East Lake in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, Mitchell rose to the challenge on Friday. They had just enough and edged the East Lake Eagles out 3-2. David Gillespie had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Mustangs.

Mitchell is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-2-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 45 goals over those eight matchups. As for East Lake, their loss dropped their record down to 11-6.

As of now, neither Mitchell nor East Lake have any future games scheduled.
