Volleyball Recap: Western Wayne Beats Scranton for Their Sixth Straight Win

Western Wayne had won five straight games and Theo Black did his part to make it six on Thursday. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Scranton Knights with plenty of help from Black, who had 20 assists and two aces. Black is crushing it when it comes to assists: he's posted at least 20 every time he's taken the court this season.

Western Wayne walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-19, 25-10, 25-17.

Western Wayne's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3. As for Scranton, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Western Wayne is set to take on their familiar foe Valley View at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Scranton will square off against rival Mountain View at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
