Baseball Recap: Sunnyslope Vikings vs. Corona del Sol Aztecs
Sunnyslope was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 12-3 to the Corona del Sol Aztecs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Aztecs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-0 last Friday.
Sunnyslope got a good showing from Jacob Reyes, who pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time Reyes hasn't allowed a single earned run since back in March.
At the plate, Sunnyslope saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaiko Wryrybkowski, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Sunnyslope's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Corona del Sol, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.
