Basketball Recap: River View Takes a Loss

River View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Mabton Vikings, falling 64-43. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 360th, while the Vikings are ranked 105th).

River View's loss dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Mabton, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Columbia the next time they take the court. Mabton will head out to face Columbia at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, while River View will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
