Baseball Recap: Thornton Academy Trojans vs. Cheverus Stags

Thornton Academy had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Cheverus Stags by a score of 6-3. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Stags recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Parker Bjorklund made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Bjorklund was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

In other pitching news, Thornton Academy got a great performance from Beck Edgerly as he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off 11 hits (and only one walk).
