Recap: Silas Rams vs. Annie Wright Gators
The Silas Rams were the 77-70 winner over the Annie Wright Gators when they last played one another back in December of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. Silas took a 49-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of Annie Wright on Wednesday.
Silas' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyonna Mosley, who scored 3 points along with 17 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Aminah Mahmoud, who scored 3 points along with 11 rebounds.
Silas' loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Annie Wright, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Silas will square off against Stadium at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Annie Wright will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Life Christian Academy at 5:45 p.m. on January 3, 2024.
