Recap: Marshall Rams vs. Reagan Rattlers

The Marshall Rams's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a hard 60-43 fall against Reagan. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Marshall in their matchups with Reagan: they've now lost five in a row.

Marshall lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Aric Goodman, who scored 12 points along with five assists and two steals. Goodman hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Jason Vidaurri, who scored 11 points.

Even though they lost, Marshall were working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. This was only their 17th loss (out of 23 games) when they've passed the ball that well.

Aidan Richard was his usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with six rebounds and two steals for Reagan. That makes it three consecutive games in which Richard has scored at least a third of Reagan's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenneth Manuel, who scored 14 points.

Marshall's loss was their ninth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-20. As for Reagan, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-10.

Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Lee the next time they take the court. Reagan will head out to face Lee at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Marshall will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
