Basketball Recap: Raymondville Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Raymondville played a tough matchup on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 71-49 to the Rio Hondo Bobcats. The Bearkats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Raymondville still got an impressive performance from Colt Cavazos, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 boards. The dominant performance also gave Cavazos a new career-high in blocks (seven). Jaden Mendez was another key player, going 6 of 13 on his way to 14 points and six rebounds.

Even though they lost, Raymondville smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 15 consecutive contests.
