Volleyball Recap: Jourdanton Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Jourdanton, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They came out on top against the John F. Kennedy Rockets by a score of 2-0 on Saturday. The Indians/Squaws have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Rockets, too.

The win didn't come easy: John F. Kennedy scored at least 19 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-20.

Despite the loss, John F. Kennedy still got an impressive performance from Makalya Aragon, who had 15 digs. Aragon is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last four games she's played. Mia Briseno was another key player, getting nine digs and one assist.

Jourdanton's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for John F. Kennedy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.

Jourdanton will challenge Bandera at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for John F. Kennedy, they will square off against Uvalde at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
