Basketball Recap: Waco Christian Comes Up Short

Waco Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a hard 54-35 fall against the Evant Elks. The Warriors were down 43-23 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Waco Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Evant, the victory snapped their losing streak at six games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-4 record.

Waco Christian will challenge Methodist Children's Home at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Evant, they will take on Lohn in a tournament on Friday. Evant is facing Lohn at the right time seeing as Lohn is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
