Baseball Game Preview: Pawhuska Huskies vs. Barnsdall Panthers

The Pawhuska Huskies will square off against the Barnsdall Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

On Monday, Pawhuska was able to grind out a solid win over Newkirk, taking the game 10-6. The Huskies haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Logan Cass was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Pawhuska is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-6 otherwise. Cass was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his five plate appearances.

In other batting news, Jadon Spicer was excellent, scoring two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. He has become a key player for Pawhuska: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-6 otherwise.

Meanwhile, Barnsdall posted their closest win since March 27th on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Oklahoma Union, sneaking past 14-13.

Pawhuska's victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Barnsdall, their win bumped their record up to 15-4.
