Volleyball Game Preview: Gertz-Ressler Pumas vs. Animo Venice Pirates

The Gertz-Ressler Pumas will head out to challenge the Animo Venice Pirates at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gertz-Ressler has now lost seven straight dating back to last season, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 15.

Gertz-Ressler came up short against Animo Robinson on Friday, falling 3-0.

Despite the defeat, Gertz-Ressler saw an underclassman step up: freshman Emilio Garcia had 16 digs.

Meanwhile, Animo Venice beat Animo Watts 3-1 on Monday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pirates.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-22, 25-27, 25-11.

Gertz-Ressler's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Animo Venice, their win bumped their record up to 9-1.
