Softball Recap: Phillips Takes a Loss

Phillips was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 35th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 15-0 to the Hackleburg Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, with their most recent loss being a 21-0 defeat last Tuesday.

Phillips' loss dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Hackleburg, their victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-7.

Looking ahead, Phillips will head out to take on Shoals Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bears are facing the Flame at the right time seeing as the Flame are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Hackleburg, they will host Haleyville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
