Volleyball Recap: Zoey Mccullough and Carrie Winkler Secure Win for Stow-Munroe Falls

Stow-Munroe Falls won the last time they faced Solon and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bulldogs walked away with a 3-1 win over the Comets. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Stow-Munroe Falls was dominant in they sets they won, taking each by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-15, 24-26, 25-10, 25-9.

Leading Stow-Munroe Falls to victory were Carrie Winkler and Zoey Mccullough. Winkler had six digs and three aces, while Mccullough had ten digs and six aces. Those three aces gave Winkler a new career-high. Hailey Cortright also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Stow-Munroe Falls was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. They are a perfect 3-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Stow-Munroe Falls now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Solon, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Coincidentally, Stow-Munroe Falls and Solon will both be playing North Royalton the next time they take the court. The Comets will head out to face the Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Bulldogs will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
