Basketball Recap: Gabe Clark's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Andrews over Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Andrews can now relate to. They fell just short of the Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy Phoenix by a score of 55-52 on Tuesday. The Wildcats' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Andrews' defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gabe Clark, who went 6-for-10 from beyond the arc on his way to 20 points. What's more, Clark also posted a 60% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in January. Another player making a difference was Ty Clark, who went 6-for-13 en route to 14 points.

Andrews' loss dropped their record down to 20-8. As for Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season.

Andrews does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy, they will venture away from home to square off against Queen's Grant at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Queen's Grant will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
