The Desert Oasis Diamondbacks will head out on the road to face off against the Foothill Falcons at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Desert Oasis' pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Mojave with a sharp 15-0 victory. The Diamondbacks haven't had any issues with the Rattlers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Ali Perkins made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cassidy Infante, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Nolly Newbry also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Desert Oasis always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .577. They are 7-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Foothill got the win against Las Vegas on Thursday by a conclusive 18-0.
Like Desert Oasis, Foothill also got a great game from a two-way player: Jordan Ackerman. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). Ackerman was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one double.
In other batting news, Kameryn Morales was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Brynlie Mitchell, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Foothill has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-9-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.7 runs over those games. As for Desert Oasis, their record now sits at 8-6-1.
Wednesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Desert Oasis hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .372. However, it's not like Foothill struggles in that department as they've averaged .349. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Desert Oasis came up short against Foothill when the teams last played two weeks ago, falling 12-9. Can the Diamondbacks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
