After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Chino Valley, Tonopah Valley was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top against the Odyssey Institute Minotaur by a score of 18-15. The high-scoring effort was just what the Phoenix needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Sarahi Passillas was a standout: she got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lena Hacker, who went 2-for-5 with three stolen bases, four runs, and one triple.

Tonopah Valley's victory bumped their record up to 7-13. As for Odyssey Institute, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-17.

As of now, neither Tonopah Valley nor the Minotaur have any future games scheduled.
