Football Game Preview: Hannah-Pamplico Raiders vs. Scott's Branch Eagles

The Hannah-Pamplico Raiders are taking a road trip to challenge the Scott's Branch Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Hannah-Pamplico is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Latta two weeks ago (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Raiders came up short against the Vikings, falling 54-31.

Meanwhile, Scott's Branch had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They breezed past Military Magnet Academy to the tune of 46-0. Scott's Branch might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by 43 points or more this season.

Scott's Branch's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Hannah-Pamplico, they dropped their record down to 2-6 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Hannah-Pamplico barely slipped by Scott's Branch in their previous meeting back in October of 2015, winning 23-22. Do the Raiders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
