Baseball Recap: Minerva Comes Up Short

Minerva lost to Beaver Local back in March and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lions fell 10-7 to the Beavers. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jason Sivy was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. Kolton Almasy was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Minerva's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Beaver Local, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Minerva will head out to challenge Canton South at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Beaver Local, they will venture away from home to take on Martins Ferry at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
